Excitement is in the air as we gear up for our 20th annual magical Nutcracker by Cadance Academy! Priority ticket sales for Cadance students open November 1st, and general ticket sales open to the public on November 4th at 10am. Tell everyone!

Nutcracker rehearsals are in full swing! Join the Cadance Nutcracker Facebook group for updates, and the November and December schedules are posted. With showtime near, it's vital to attend all rehearsals for your role and check for updates often. Let's keep Drosselmeyer's words in mind: 'Waste not time, ere it waste thee!'

Our 20th Anniversary Nutcracker is almost here, and we'd love your help making it magical! We're looking for volunteers to assist with lobby setup, backstage support, and rehearsals. For cast members: a purple anniversary T-shirt is included for every cast member who has paid their Nutcracker fee. Simply submit your size through the order form. You can also upgrade to a hoodie or purchase additional apparel.

For everyone: show your Cadance spirit with our anniversary collection! T-shirts: $25 + HST. Hoodies: $60 + HST. Orders will be added to your Cadance Academy account for payment processing. Our youngest dancers have a special place in this year's 20th Anniversary Nutcracker! Dancers ages 8 and under who are enrolled in a class that teaches the Mice in Training choreography are invited to join and experience the magic of being part of The Nutcracker. No performance experience needed, just lots of excitement and a little mouse-sized enthusiasm! Costumes are provided and spaces are limited. Parents, please complete the application form, where you will find the criteria. Ready to join our little Mouse Crew?

On December 12 and 13, Cadance Academy will celebrate its 20th Annual Nutcracker, and we're hoping to fill both shows for the very first time! We'd love your help making it happen. Do you own a local business or know someone who does?

Our 2026 Local Business Partner Packages start at just $100, offering businesses the opportunity to connect with approximately 900 local families through program ads, lobby displays, social media, and show tickets. Businesses can also support our community through Community Seats, providing 10 tickets for $275 (a $300 value) to share with employees, customers, or local families.

Give a little, make a big difference! Each year, our Nutcracker Gift Basket Draw brings our community together to support young dancers. All proceeds go directly toward dance bursaries, helping make dance more accessible to those who need financial support.

We're inviting local businesses and Cadance families to contribute! Whether it's a special gift, gift card, product, or service discount, every donation makes a difference, and all contributions will be proudly acknowledged as part of our gift basket. Donations can be dropped off in our studio lobby prior to December 6, or we can arrange a pickup if needed. Every little gift helps a dancer's dream grow! Thank you for helping us share the joy of dance with more young dancers.

Calling all KPop fans ages 5 to 12! Learn real KPop choreography, dance to the songs you love, and shine like a star with your friends. No dance experience needed! Just bring your energy and your best finger hearts. 6-week session, October 30 to December 4.

Step into the magical world of The Nutcracker with your little one! Inspired by this beloved holiday classic, our Parent and Tot dance class introduces young dancers to the joy of movement through playful activities, music, rhythm, and imagination. Little ones will explore the wonders of dance in a fun, safe, and nurturing environment while bringing a touch of Nutcracker magic to life.

It's a wonderful opportunity to build confidence, encourage creativity, and create precious holiday memories together. Mondays, November 16 to December 7, 3:15 to 3:45 PM.

On November 11, we honour and remember those who served and sacrificed for our freedom. We are forever grateful for their courage and dedication. Please note: there will be no classes, and the Cadance Academy office will be closed in observance of Remembrance Day (Wednesday, November 11, 2026).

We're getting ready for the stage! During Costume Measurement Week, Monday, November 16 to Sunday, November 22, our dance teachers and assistants will be taking measurements of dancers during one of their regular classes to help us prepare for ordering costumes for our end-of-year show. We can't wait to see our dancers shine on stage!

The excitement is building for our 2027 Year-End Show, The Greatest Cadance Show! On June 12 and 13, 2027, our dancers will step into the spotlight for a spectacular celebration of everything they've learned and accomplished throughout the season. Expect incredible performances, memorable moments, and plenty of Cadance magic!

Our Dress-Up Weeks brought extra fun and creativity to the studio! Dancers arrived in their favourite costumes, adding a little extra magic and excitement to their classes. From adorable characters to imaginative outfits, we loved seeing everyone's creativity shine while sharing plenty of smiles and special moments!

A big thank you to Kealan for an inspiring and exciting workshop! Our dancers had the opportunity to learn, challenge themselves, and explore new skills while growing in confidence and artistry. We're so grateful for these special learning experiences that help our dancers continue to grow both in and out of the studio!

This October let's celebrate gratitude by not only seeing what we can be thankful for but by acts of kindness to others. In a world that so often needs more gentleness and understanding, small acts, smiling or giving a compliment to another dancer, helping a younger dancer tie a shoe, cheering someone on during a turn, make a huge difference. Those little moments of care can create ripples and help build the supportive Cadance community we're so proud of.

Valentina from Grade 1 Ballet and Giulietta from Pre-Primary/Primary Ballet are dancing sisters who get to share the joy of ballet together! Giulietta loves skipping and galloping, while Valentina loves dressing up in costumes for the shows. How special it is to have a sister by your side to share the fun, laughter, and magic of dance!
